The Essence of the Bluegrass is located only five minutes from the world famous Kentucky Horse Park, home of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian games. The Horse Park is not only a working horse park, but also an educational adventure into the world of horses. As you enter the park you are greeted by a life size statue of the renowned horse Man o' War. You will wind your way through the visitor's center into the International Museum of the horse, where you will different exhibits on none other than our fine friend. If you would like a more interactive way to tour the park, you can hop on and gallop off with a guided horseback tour of the facilities. This is perfect even for the first timer. If you are a bit more timed, they also offer a guided horse drawn carriage tour. If you happen to be in town during the last weekend in April, do not miss the Rolex Three-Day Event. This annual equestrian event is one of only six three-day events in the world ranked the highest with four stars.
